Benefit Lolli Tint

Sunday, 5 July 2015

For some reason I've never used or tried a powder blusher. I've always used liquids or creams.

During one of my many 'Benefit' splurges I picked up 'Lolli Tint'. A candy-orchid lip and cheek stain.

blended           unblended

It is such a pretty colour and appears very natural on my fair skin.

It also has ridiculous staying power. I apply in the morning and it stays put till late evening.

Benefit recommend applying directly to the cheek and blending with your fingers however, the solution is very fast drying and if its not blended quickly enough it will leave noticeable pink streaks. I've found that applying a small amount directly to a firm make-up brush (I use the real techniques buffing brush) and then buffing across the apples of your cheeks works best.

Lolli tint comes in a 12.5ml bottle but due to the vibrancy and its staying power I only use the tiniest amount each day and the bottle has lasted me around 6 months.

Until recently I had only used this on my cheeks however, as a multi-use product I felt I should try it out as a lip stain. It creates such a natural flush across the lips and stays in place with no bleeding or smudging. I actually line and colour my lips with my MAC lip liner in 'Whirl' and then apply Lolli tint over the top.

There are currently four tints by benefit - Benetint which is rose tinted, Chachatint which is mango tinted, Posietint which is poppy tinted and obviously Lollitint which is candy-orchid tinted.

As of yet I haven't tried any of the alternative colours but each colour will be suited to certain skin tones. I hope to pick these up in future but for now Lollitint is a perfect multi-use product and I've already repurchased ready for when I eventually run out.

Lolli Tint is £24.50 for a  12.5ml bottle and can be purchased here
